No, not the holiday season. Though I wish you and yours a joyful holiday season be it a Menorah you have already lit, a tree you are trimming, or one of many other seasonal holidays to remind us to give thanks to all and for reflecting on the year.
THE SUPER BOWL!
When is Super Bowl 2019 (a.k.a Super Bowl LIII … a.k.a. Super Bowl 53)?
Super Bowl 2019 is on Sunday, February 3, 2019 at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium which opened in Atlanta in 2017. It’s the home of the Atlanta Falcons. The kick-off time has yet to be announced, but my general guess is sometime around 5:00 p.m.
Why do I love the Super Bowl? Duh, it’s the commercials!
Here’s what I know so far about who has signed up to purchase and presumably run spots this year:
- M&M’s (will Danny DeVito reprise his role as “Big Red”?
- Auto manufacturers will again dominate with Toyota, Jaguar, Hyundai, Mercedes and Kia all appearing to be in the line up
- Budweiser
- Haas Avocados (remember the jingle?)
- Pringles
- Weathertec
- Colgate
- And of course many more…
I simply cannot wait… I’ve YouTubed several of my all-time favorites this past week and it’s tough to pick an ultimate favorite so I leave you with two… one vintage commercial from Apple, and a recent favorite in memory of Robin Williams.
